Wanda Marie Lyons, 76, of Galion, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Wanda was born on August 29, 1947, to the late parents of Willard and Gladys (Hollinger) Johnson. Wanda lived a vibrant life filled with a deep love for home decorating, antique shopping, and spending time with her family. Wanda’s creativity and passion for home decor were evident in everything she did. From reading and coloring to adorning her loved ones’ homes with her unique touch, she brought light and joy to all those around her. She had a special love for plants, collecting earrings and rings, and indulging in her guilty pleasure for Little Debbie’s.
She is survived by her sons, Warren Lyons, of Galion, Travis Lyons, of Galion, her daughter Ronda (Steve Sopher) Castle, grandchildren Travis and Brooke Castle, siblings Walter Johnson, Wilma Kinney, Wanita Busler, Waive (Bill) Sharp, Wendy (Gerald) McFarland, Willa (Raymond) Barnes, and Winifred Johnson, as well as great-grandchildren Trenton, Taelyn, Teagen, and Avian, and additional grandchildren Amanda and Mickey Ogle.
Along with Wanda’s parents and husband, Wanda is preceded in death by; siblings; Wayne Johnson, Willard “Sonny” Johnson, William “Haney” Johnson, Warren Johnson Sr., Daughter-in-law; Karen Lyons, Sister-in-Law; Jeannie Johnson, and Brother-in-law, Dan BuslerFriends may call on Monday, June 17, 2024, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Mark A. Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, 303 Portland Way North, Galion. Burial will follow at Crawford County Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
