Wanda Fitzpatrick was kind and supportive. She was a compassionate listener and would give a hug to anyone in need. Wanda M. Fitzpatrick, 73, of Galion passed away unexpectedly Sunday, June 7, 2020 at her residence.
She was born December 26, 1946 in Bucyrus, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Rollin and Ethel Pauline (Northrop) Morrow. Wanda is survived by her husband of 56 years, Joe Fitzpatrick whom she married on February 7, 1964.
Wanda graduated from North Robinson in 1964. She worked for many years and retired from Lazarus in Ontario. Wanda enjoyed traveling, especially visiting numerous lighthouses.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by son Michael (Lisa Hale) Fitzpatrick of Crestline; daughter Christine (Douglas) Iden of Marion; one grandchild Tyler (Kasey) Hale of Crestline; two great-grandchildren Gabriel and Pierce; sister Carol (George) Ilams of Bucyrus and a brother David (Marlene) Morrow of Georgia.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 am to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 11, 2020 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 11 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 135 North Liberty Street Galion, Ohio 44833 with Father Paul Fahrbach as celebrant. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Galion.
