Trudy Lynn DeWitt (Conklin), 69, of Lexington TN, passed away on November 23, 2024.
Trudy was born on August 14, 1955, in East Liverpool, OH to Allen and Mary Conklin.
Trudy was a Colonel Crawford High School (North Robinson, OH) Graduate, class of 1973. She started her career at North Electric Co. of Galion, and then went on to work at United Telephone/Sprint as an IT forms designer. Since 2008, Trudy has been employed with the Jackson Clinic, in Jackson, TN, as a Contact Center Agent.
On May 21, 1982, Trudy married her husband, Rich. They went on to have two children, Krystal and Glenn, two grandchildren, and lots of fur babies. She loved all her animals so much and her children and family were her pride and joy. Trudy was the magic to every holiday, birthday, or vacation. She made everything special. She had a servant’s heart and taught Sunday School with her mom, Mary Conklin, for over 30 years at their church, First United Church of Christ in Galion, Ohio.
Her legacy is one of unyielding kindness and generosity. To know Trudy was to instantly love her. Her warm smile, giving heart, and beautiful spirit is something that will stay with us forever.
Trudy is preceded in death by her parents Allen and Mary Conklin. She is survived by her husband Rich DeWitt; Children: Krystal DeWitt, Glenn DeWitt (Kim); Grandchildren: Lillian Grossi and Olivia DeWitt; Siblings: Brian Conklin (Katie), Twila Hiatt (Dan), Teresa Perkey (Jim), Doug Conklin (Cathy); several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Trudy had a heart for helping people and this was evident in the work that she did professionally and personally. She was an avid donor to multiple causes that were close to her heart. Salvation Army, Second Harvest Food Bank, Meals on Wheels, Heifer International, No Kid Hungry.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at First United Church of Christ in Galion, 44833 from 10:30am to 12:00pm with a celebration of life service starting immediately at 12:00pm with Rev. Chris Buckingham-Taylor officiating. Burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery.
