Timothy “Tim” Ralph Miller, 73 of Crestline, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2024, at Signature Healthcare surrounded by his loving family.

Tim was born on September 14, 1951, in Armstrong County, PA, to the late Ralph and Doris (Wright) Miller. He married Patricia Howell on August 18, 1973, and they shared a loving 51 years of marriage together.

Tim was a graduate of Ford City High School, Class of 1969. After high school, he attended Slippery Rock University, where he met and fell in love with Patti. He graduated with his bachelor’s degree in education in 1973. After moving to Ohio, Tim attended Ashland University and obtained his master’s degree in 1983. He was employed by Galion City Schools as a science teacher for middle and high school, later retiring in 2010. Throughout his tenure at Galion City Schools, Tim continued to mentor young adults through his time spent coaching football, basketball, track and field, and softball.

When he was not educating the youth of Galion, Tim enjoyed spending his free time in the great outdoors, fishing and hunting. Most memorably taking trips to “HARAHJOI” cabin in Pennsylvania, a cabin that was built by his grandfather and enjoyed by his entire family. Though Tim enjoyed molding the minds of young adults, his true love was for his children and grandchildren, and the time spent with his family will remain the most treasured.

Left to cherish Tim’s memories are his wife, Patricia, his children: Chad (Melissa) Miller and Karri (Michael) Corney; grandchildren: Autumn and Timmy Miller and Keegan and Karlee Sherer: his sisters-in-law, Suzanne Miller, Penni (Charles) Howell-Chambers, Mercy Howell, and Marianne Uberti.

In addition to his parents, Tim was preceded in death by his brother, Tom Miller, his sister, Trudy Byerly, and brothers-in-law, Barry Byerly, Willam Howell and Floyd Howell.

Friends may call Wednesday, October 23, 2024, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Mark A. Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home; 303 Portland Way North, Galion.
