Timothy Lee Stoneburner, 64, died Sunday, March 21, 2021 at OSU Wexner Medical Center, shortly after a recent cancer diagnosis.
He was born September 27, 1956, to the late Robert Lee and June (Cochran) Stoneburner. Raised in Bucyrus, he was active in the band at Bucyrus High School where he graduated from in 1974 and he studied horticulture in college. Stonie worked as a self-employed painter.
Tim will be remembered for his orneriness and love of the outdoors. Fishing, gardening, camping, yard word. If it was outside, he enjoyed it. He also loved Rock ‘n Roll and was the sound man for several area bands. When stuck inside, Stonie could usually be found watching his favorite cartoons or rooting on the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Tim is survived by his wife, Beth (Mollenkopf) Stoneburner, whom he married May 19, 1984; sons, Tyson (Kurt) Mollenkopf and Thomas Stoneburner; grandson, Gunner Lee; and sister, Terri (Lisa) Byrne. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Tiffany Ann Stoneburner.
Tim will be laid to rest in Oceola Cemetery where his family welcomes friends to gather for his graveside funeral on Thursday, April 1 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Mike Corwin officiating.
Memorial donations can be made payable to the Humane Society Serving Crawford County or American Cancer Society and given at the service or at Wise Funeral Service in Bucyrus.
