Thomas Gordon Parker, 65, of Bucyrus passed away Wednesday July 8, 2020 following a brief illness.
He was born on February 19, 1955 in Bucyrus to Gordon & Sallie (Rowland) Parker and spent most of his life in Crawford County. Thomas had worked at Ohio Locomotive Crane Co. as a welder and also for the Wynford School District as a janitor. He later ran his own auto repair business for a few years before working as a supervisor for Crawford Machine, which was his last job since becoming disabled. He married Pamela S. Brooks on January 9, 1976 and shared 25 years together, remaining friends after their divorce. He loved fishing, gardening, working on cars and motorcycles and taking drives through the countryside. He also loved spending time with family and sharing his home grown vegetables with family, friends and neighbors.
Thomas was most proud of attaining his GED and well as becoming a grandpa. He loved our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, his family, close friends and especially his grandchildren more than anything.
He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Parker; son, Thomas H Parker; grandchildren, Tess Zarcone, Brittany Rose, Briona (Aaron) Hawkins, Jacob (Alex) Caskey, Adrian, Kara and Renee Cooper, Bailey Douglas, Shilese and Lillian Fogle; sisters, Linda (Parker) Cox and Brenda (Parker) Arrowood and numerous aunts, uncles and friends close to his heart.
He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Adeline Rowland and Mary King; mother, Sallie L. (Rowland) Parker, father, Gordon Parker and brother-in-law, Robert Arrowood.
The family would give a special thank you to his sisters, Linda and Brenda, daughter, Stephanie, Pam, grandchildren, Briona, Jacob, Alex, Nik, Brittany Fogle and Brittnay Taylor for helping with his care as life got harder for him.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, July 17, 2020 at Ohio Cremation & Memorial Society, 9 Chambers Road, Mansfield, Ohio 44906. Friends and family may call one hour prior to the memorial service.
