Thomas Allen Clark, Sr., 85, of Galion passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at Woodside Village Care Center in Mt. Gilead.
Born September 25, 1937 in Columbus, Ohio he was the son of Joseph and Dorothy (Roland) Cafagno. Tom is survived by his wife of 56 years, Eileen (Toy) Clark whom he married on March 18, 1967.
He graduated from Marion Harding High School in 1955 and continued his education at the Mansfield Business College with an Associate’s degree. Tom proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict and Viet Nam War. He worked at the former North Electric in Galion and Sun TV in Ontario and an agent for American General Life retiring in 1999.
Tom was a member and former treasurer of the Heritage Baptist Church in Galion, volunteered at the Board of Elections for 28 years, member of the American Legion Scarbrough Post 243, coached youth baseball and enjoyed woodworking, bowling and was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians and Ohio State University football.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Ranee (James) Stumpf of Galion; sons, Thomas (Glynis) Clark, Jr. of San Antonio, Texas and Gregory (Amanda) Clark of Macon, Georgia; 12 grandchildren, Christian (Dena) Clark, Daniel Clark, Timothy Clark, Hunter Clark, Nathaniel Clark, Autumn Clark, Connor Clark, Nicholas Stumpf, Lauren Stumpf, Abigail Stumpf, Aiden Stumpf and Andrew Stumpf; great granddaughter, Georgia Clark and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Viola McKee, Marilyn Hatch; brother, Daniel Cafagno and a step-sister, Mary Holycross.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 12, 2023at Heritage Baptist Church, 1381 State Route 61, Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday with Pastor Rodney Noblit officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford County Memory Gardens in Crestline
Military honors will be conducted by United States Navy.
