Teresa “Tess” Estep, 58, of Galion passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at home surrounded by her family.

She was born December 7, 1960 in Galion and was the daughter of Lester Estep and Mary Anne (Fife) Williams.

Teresa was a stage 3 breast cancer survivor for eight years and cherished the time with her dear friends most of all. She enjoyed doing yard work for her mom and helping her around the house.

Until her illness, she had been a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post 4329 of Galion for 20 years. Tess loved to donate her time for the dinners and benefits to help members and veterans. She was honored to carry the United States Flag for the VFW in parades and through the VFW learned how to handle the flag and show it the utmost respect for the lives and freedoms it represents.

Tess is survived by her father Lester Estep of Galion; sisters Tirna Martin of Galion, Tonya (Donnie) Sheets of Galion and Telana Veil of Hilliard and four nephews Derrick Hughett of Galion, Dustin Hughett of Bucyrus, Jordan and Griffin Veil both of Hilliard.

She found comfort to know that she was going home to her heavenly father and will be joining her loving mother Mary Anne Williams; loving step-mother Hazel Dell “Delsie” Estep; a baby boy that she loved deeply and will wait on the rest of her family.

There will be a celebration of life at a later date.

Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes in Galion is honored to serve the family of Teresa Estep, and condolences may be made to them at www.SnyderFuneralHomes.com.
