Tantris K. Plott, age 87, of Bucyrus, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at 7:20am at the Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Upper Sandusky.

Trantris was born on November 18, 1936 in Fairview, Virginia to the late Dewey and Butis (Robinett) Bledsoe.  She married Darrel Plott on June 20, 1958 in the John Stewart United Methodist Church by the Rev. Hugh Robinson.  Darrell passed away on April 5, 2021.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Deitra Robison of Oregon, Ohio, and Darceilia Plott of Columbus, Ohio.  3 granddaughters, Aleta Robison, Jalynn Robison and Marissa (Tim) Barnes, all of Toledo,  and a great granddaughter, Charlotte Barnes.  Along with 2 sister in laws, Michelle Bledsoe, and Karen Plott.

Tantris is also survived by a niece, Dene’Dixon, and 4 nephews, Darrick Dixon, Dravin Dixon, Jacke and Dylan Bledsoe.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 daughters, Ginnella and Kreneila Plott, a sister Barmell Dixon, and a brother H.D. Bledsoe.

Tantris graduated in 1954 from Hernando High School in Brooksville, Florida and Florida State University in 1958 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Work.

She went on to work at the New York Girl’s Correction School with the recreation department, was Director of Friends of Crawford County in Galion and ended her career with Head Start as a social service worker, home teaching and a classroom teacher.

Tantris surrendered her life to Jesus Christ in 1954 during a revival service held by Evangelist Adrian Rogers at the First Baptist Church in Brookville.  Her greatest desire was to live a life that would glorify Jesus.

She enjoyed listening to her cassette tapes by Joyce Meyer and tapes of the entire Bible. She loved attending Southern Gospel Concerts and the various theater productions  by local high schools.

Services for Tantris K. Plott will be private with Rev. Jim Stauffer officiating.  Burial will take place at Old Mission Cemetery.
