Susan K. Cerar Bean, 57, of Galion, went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at Avita Galion Hospital.

Born October 16, 1963, in Galion, she was the daughter of Robert E. and Carol I. (Force) Cerar. She married Robert Bean on May 29, 2010, and he survives.

She attended Galion City Schools and was a graduate of Mansfield Christian in 1981. Susan received a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology and Childhood Education from the International Bible College.  After college, she was a missionary in Japan and she formerly served as a Councilwoman for the City of Galion.

Susan was currently working as an Insurance Agent with the Hamilton Insurance Agency in Mansfield and was co-owner of Impression Press in Galion. She enjoyed genealogy, gaming with her children, sewing and will be remembered for her great sense of humor.

In addition to her husband she is survived by three children, Jason Trespel of Elyria, Christopher (Blair) Trespel of Columbus and Sara Trespel of Kent; two sisters, Janet Cerar of Florida and Mary( John) Webster of Arkansas; three brothers, David Cerar of Kenya, James (Sue) Cerar of Florida and Timothy Cerar of Florida; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ryen (Christine) Bean of Florida and sister-in-law, Julie Cerar of Galion.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Cerar, and sister, Carol Cerar.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday with Rev. Joe Stafford officiating.  A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at East Avenue Cemetery in New Philadelphia, Ohio.
