Steven W. Carothers, 67, of Galion passed away August 12, 2020 at home after a two year battle with cancer.

 

Born February 2, 1953 in Tuscarawas County, Ohio, he was the son of the late William “Ed” and Helen (Kinsey) Carothers.  He married Mitzy (Kitzmiller) Carothers on March 16, 2004 and she survives.

 

He was a graduate of Shelby High School and Pioneer Joint Vocational School and was a self-employed exterminator owning and operating Carothers Exterminating in Galion, he was known as the “Bug Man”.  He also owned Carothers Home Exteriors for many years in Galion.  Steve always enjoyed helping people and the community of Galion.

 

In addition to his wife, he is survived by seven children, Laura (Stacey) Stiving of Shelby, Erin (Josh) Hill of Columbus, Lisa Carothers of South Carolina, Nathan Castle of Florida, Chanelle (Justin) Mohran of Marion, Liana (Dakota) Wiggins of Mansfield and Kenton Carothers at home; several grandchildren; brother, Mark (Tina) Carothers of Mansfield and sister, Mary Carothers of Shelby.

 

At the family’s request no services will be held.
