Steven Duffey Beale, 51, passed away peacefully at the home of his parents, Elmore and Doris Beale of Galion, Ohio, August 3, 2019.
Steven was born in Galion on February 17, 1968 and graduated from Galion High School in 1986. He then enlisted in the Marine Corps and was stationed at Camp Lejeune, South Carolina for four years. He was in the 2nd Division Marine Band.
Steven then received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from The Ohio State University and a Master’s Degree in School Administration from the University of Dayton. A highlight of his college years was playing trombone in the OSU marching band. Most of his working career was spent as a teacher and an administrator in the Hilliard School District in Hilliard, Ohio.
On July 22, 1989 Steve married his former wife, Amy (Muehlbrad) Beale of Galion, Ohio and they had three sons: Alex, Jonah, and Braden who reside in Hilliard. He is also survived by his parents, Elmore and Doris of Galion; brothers, David (Jennifer) Beale of Powell, Ohio and Brian (Jamie) Beale of Springdale, Arkansas and several nieces and nephews.
A burial ceremony will be held for the immediate family at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.
