In her final moments, Shelley’s steadfast faith and boundless love shone as brightly as ever, a beautiful reflection of Psalm 103:8: “The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love.” This verse perfectly captures Shelley’s life—a life filled with compassion, grace, and a love for others that will endure forever.

Taken from us far too soon, Shelley’s life was a beautiful reflection of her faith, devotion, and unwavering commitment to her family. She was a devoted member of St. Joseph’s Church in Galion, where she found comfort and strength in her faith and cherished her church community. Shelley’s belief in God’s mercy and love guided her through life’s joys and challenges with unshakable grace.

Shelley’s greatest joy was her family, who she loved beyond measure. She shared a special bond with her husband, Todd, and together they cherished the simple joys of life.  Shelley also had a remarkable talent for planning events, which benefited countless friends, family, and community members. Her ability to organize and bring people together was unmatched, leaving a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to experience her gift.

Christmas was Shelley’s favorite time of year, a season when her home was filled with love, laughter, and the delicious aroma of her baking. From cupcakes to cookies, Shelley’s kitchen was a place of comfort and celebration, a reflection of her nurturing spirit. She was the heart of every family gathering, creating memories that will live on in the hearts of those she left behind. Whether it was her warm laughter, her ability to make everyone feel welcome, or her devotion to her loved ones, Shelley’s presence was a gift to all who knew her.

Shelley is survived by her husband Todd Harding, her children Mindy (Phillip) Teague, Jennifer (Lee) Moore, Nathan (Ashley) Harding, and Courtney (Collin) Neumann; 15 beautiful grandchildren; her siblings Larry, Linda, Laura, Lonnie, Lee, Calvin, Rex, and Dan; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Janette Holt; and brother Randy Holt.  Her family takes solace in knowing that she is now at peace, embraced by God and reunited with loved ones who have gone before her.

Though Shelley is no longer with us, her love, faith, and the memories she created will forever be a source of comfort and strength.
