Shawn P. McGinty, 32, of Bucyrus, passed away at 7:13 a.m., Saturday, October 8, 2022 at his home.
Shawn was born December 31, 1989, in Tiffin, to Leroy McGinty and Susan (Stover) Windsor. He married Preston D. Zornes in Tiffin on January 29, 2021 and he survives in Bucyrus.
Survivors include his five brothers, Chris McGinty of Cleveland, Chad (Veronica) Windsor, Jason (Kara) Windsor both of Tiffin, Scott (Kayla) Walker of GA, Dillon Soals of Fostoria, six sisters, Aimee (David) Wiles of Bascom, Jenny Walker of Tiffin, Mandy (Frank) Hardy of Forrest, Shannon McGinty of Fostoria, Colleen (Joe) Gonzales of Jerry City, Rachael (Jeremy) Bethel of Dunkirk and his three dogs, Otis, Frank and Nibbles. Shawn is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Shawn worked at the Renaissance in Tiffin and was known for his style. He was a 2008 graduate of Hopewell Loudon High School and enjoyed cooking, baking, kayaking, camping, vacationing and his dogs. Shawn will be remembered for his sass and wittiness and for just being the life of the party!
Shawn was preceded in death by his father and his dog, Butters.
Funeral services for Shawn will be at 12:00 p.m., on Friday, October 14, 2022 at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin. Visitation for family and friends will also be held on Friday, from 10:00 a.m., until the time of the service at the funeral home. There will be no burial held at this time.
