Sharon Sue McCleary, 65, of Galion went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at Legacy Marion.
Born July 27, 1958 in Bucyrus, she was the daughter of Sheldon and Marilyn (Simmons) McCleary.
Sharon was a dispatcher for the Bucyrus and Marion Police departments and later dispatched for 911 in Delaware, Ohio. She loved riding her horses, horse racing and liked sports, especially baseball and football. She enjoyed flowers and antiques and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by daughter, Dawn (Lee Campo) Vanderkooi of Edison; son, Ian (Desiree) Hypes of Mansfield; grandchildren, Abraham (Jeanette Finley) Candel of Bellville, Ameleah (Nate) Morris of Canton, Pawndyr, Margaret Kody, Ingrid and Tell Hypes, all of Mansfield and great grandchildren Braelyn Candel and Mallory Morris.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by son, Kody Hypes; brother, Dale McCleary and sister, Sheryl McCleary.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Monday, August 14, 2023 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will be held at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Kevin Kinnison officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
