Sharon L. Franco, 80, of Galion passed away Friday, September 24, 2021, at the Avita Galion Hospital.

Born September 25, 1940, in Kenton, Ohio, she was the daughter of Richard and Verla (Nuss) Born. She married Joseph L. Franco on November 4, 1962, and he survives.

She was a graduate of Kenton High School and was a life member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary in Crestline and the AMVETS Post 1979 in Galion; she was also a member of the Women of the Moose 177 in Galion and a former member of the former Eagles Aerie 630 in Galion. Sharon liked to crochet, sew and cook. She also loved to travel and spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband she is survived by children, Sheila Franco of Galion, Julie (Ronald) Lemon of Mansfield, Bill (Becky) Franco of Cardington and Jeff (Crystal) Franco of Sandia Park, New Mexico; grandchildren, Nicholas Franco, Justin Lemon, Alexis Lemon, Tucker Franco, Leah Franco, Kelly Baber, and Kristopher Harris; four great-grandchildren and a sister, Debbie (Mike) Furbush of Kenton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Joseph R. Franco, and a brother, Gary Born

The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 29, with Father Paul Fahrbach officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Galion.
