Sharon Ann Emmer, age 74, of Crestline passed away Friday, October 14, 2022 after a sudden battle with cancer.

She was born April 5, 1948 in Galion and was the daughter of John and Ruth (Varnes) Stinehelfer.

Sharon loved sewing, antiques, and baking. She created several cakes for family and friends from graduations, showers, to weddings. She sewed costumes for her daughter as a child; some even won first place prizes in the Oktoberfest parade.  She hosted a cookie party every year at Christmas. Sharon loved fishing and attending concerts, but most of all she loved her family and friends. One of Sharon’s favorite pastimes was taking drives with her daughter. The two would explore new routes where Sharon would assure her daughter, “All roads lead home.”

For many years Sharon worked as a Human Resource Manager. When she was young she was the president of the Paul Anka fan club and the president of the Galion Eagles Clown Club. Sharon attended the Galion Unity Free Will Baptist Church.

Sharon is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ruthanne and Craig Henry; her sister and brother-in-law, Peg and Dave Briggs; her grandchildren, Austin and Jessie Bandagski, Leah and Bailey Johnston, Drake and Kiersten Garrett, Levi Garrett, Aiden Blosser, and Marley Blosser; a great grandson, Hudson Johnston; a niece. three nephews and many cousins. Sharon will leave a loving imprint on each member of her family.

Sharon was preceded in death by her brother John Stinehelfer, her mother Ruth Stinehelfer (Varnes), and her father John E. Stinehelfer. Sharon will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.

 She will be remembered for her family oriented activities, her lovely green eyes, and her unbreakable strength.

Her family invites those who would like to celebrate Sharon’s life to join them from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 20th with Pastor Dave Bates officiating. Burial will be in Crawford County Memory Gardens, Crestline.
