Scott C. Church, 51, of Galion passed away Friday, February 12, 2021, at Ohio Health Mansfield Hospital after a two and a half year battle with cancer.
Born June 27, 1969, in Galion, he was the son of Carmel and Helen (Snyder) Church of Galion. He married Shelly (Ross) Church and she survives.
He was a graduate of Galion High School in 1987. Scott was a welder at Eagle Crusher and then worked at Ideal Electric for over 20 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and demolition derbies. Scott liked old cars, attending many car shows. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he is survived by children Travis Lee of Mansfield, Christopher (Sarah) Church of Bellville and Bethany Church of Mansfield; grandchildren Karsyn Church and Kayden Church; brothers Rick (Connie) Church of Galion and Mark Church of Galion; numerous uncles and aunts including a special uncle and aunt Eugene (Teresa) Church of Virginia and special cousin Danny Tomecko of New Washington.
He was preceded in death by daughter Lacie Nicole Church.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 18 with Pastor Justin Lawhorn officiating. Burial will follow in Iberia Cemetery.
