Sanford “Sandy” McKinnon, 80, of Orlando, Florida passed away on February 10, 2022. Born September 1, 1941, to Joseph and Mary McKinnon in Bucyrus Ohio.
Sandy served in the United States Navy as a First-Class Construction Electrician from 1961 to 1967. He then worked as an electrician in construction from 1969 to 1982. In 1982, he started working as a Power Distribution Technician at Disney in both low and high voltage electricity where he eventually retired from there in 2011.
When Sandy was not working, he was tinkering with his old radios or working on his 1939 Ford. He loved to cruise in his old Ford and go to car shows when he could. He was always willing to lend a hand to his neighbors and family or anyone else who would ask. Family was important to him, and he was a loving father and husband of over 50 years.
He is survived by his loving wife Nancy M. McKinnon, as well as his daughter Shannon Parsons and her husband Randy. He is also survived by his brother David McKinnon and his wife Sherry.
A visitation will take place on Wednesday February 16, 2022, from 11 am to 1 pm. A graveside service at Glen Haven Memorial Park will take place on February 16, 2022, at 2pm and all are invited to attend.
