Sadie A. Cox loved her family and helped raise three generations. Family functions were most important to her as she loved to please her family and others. Friends and her loving family will sorely miss Sadie who passed away at the age of 74 on Sunday morning, September 24, 2017 at Signature HealthCARE of Galion.
Born December 4, 1942 in Galion, she was the daughter of the late Wallace and Viola M. (Dane) Keirns.
She worked at the former ITT North in Galion and later as a nurse’s aide working for 25 years at the former Atwood Manor in Galion, Rosewood Manor in Galion and at the Mifflin Care Center in Mansfield. Sadie attended the Wellspring Community Church in Galion. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and going to the beach.
She is survived by daughter Penny (Mike) Siegenthal of Galion; granddaughters Crystal (Zak) Taylor of Mansfield, Melissa (Alfred) Siegenthal of Galion and Amanda Siegenthal of Galion; great-grandchildren Brennan, Isaiah, Mya and Luke; brother Martin Keirns of Mt. Gilead and sister Mildred Scott of Galion.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will follow at 1:00 p.m. Thursday with Pastor Roy Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Iberia Cemetery
