Ruth H. Duncan, 93, of Galion passed away Thursday, September 30, 2021, at Magnolia Terrace in Galion, where she has resided for the last ten years..

Born March 7, 1928, in Piedmont, Missouri, she was the daughter of Louis W. and Edith May (Stower) Hackworth. She married James H. “Jim” Duncan on October 7, 1948, and he preceded her on May 25, 2003.

Ruth was a lifetime member of the VFW 4329 in Galion where she was very active with the Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by a daughter, Phyllis (Doyle) Sumrall of Glenmont; two sons, Brad (Peggy) Duncan of Crossville, Tenn. And Dale (Kumi) Duncan of Japan; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and a sister, Gerri Piper of Panama City Beach, Florida.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Joellen Sentieri; five sisters and a brother.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at Fairview Cemetery.
