Ruth Ellen Britt, 78, of Galion passed away Monday, December 5, 2022 at Altercare of Bucyrus.
She was born December 19, 1943 in Galion and was the daughter of Melvin and Mary (Hullinger) Crane. Ruth is survived by her husband of 61 years, Michael Britt whom she married on May 6, 1961.
She was a former member of the Galion Women of the Moose, Chapter 177 and a member of the Eagles Auxiliary. Ruth enjoyed bowling, taking trips with her son Mike and watching games shows and General Hospital on TV. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons, Chris A. Britt of Galion, Brian D. Britt of Galion and Michael A. (Francisco De La Rosa) Britt of Columbus; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Gale Reynolds of Galion and an aunt, Virginia (Coy) Turner of Dayton; sister-in-law Mary (Terry) McPeek of Galion and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Joseph M. Britt; daughter, Lisa A. Reynolds; sister, Laura McPeek and a brother and sister-in-law, Douglas and Gerri Crane.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 8, 2022 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833where a Rosary service will be recited at 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 9 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 135 North Liberty Street Galion, Ohio with Father Paul Fahrbach as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Galion.
