Ruby R. Lightfoot passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at Galion Avita Hospital.
Ruby was born on May 2, 1944, in Kittanning, Pennsylvania to the late Wilson Johns and Ethel Rosenberger.
On May 7, 1976, Ruby married Joseph “Joe” Lightfoot and enjoyed 45 years of marriage.
Ruby was a wonderful homemaker and enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She was an animal lover and bird watching was one of her favorite past times. Ruby enjoyed playing bingo, staying connected to family and friends on Facebook, and was known for taking many pictures and videos.
Ruby is survived by her loving husband, Joe Lightfoot of Crestline, 4 children, Rodney (Kathy) Smock of Oceola, Ohio, Randy Smock of Crestline, Michael Smock of Galion, and Joe Lightfoot Jr. of Crestline as well as 2 stepchildren, Sue Uzenoff of South Bend, Indiana and Eric Lightfoot of Morehead, Kentucky, as well as a half-brother, Amos Rosenberger. Ruby was blessed with 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by 6 brothers and sisters, Merle Johns, Shirley Yount, William Johns, Buck Johns, Hannah Atwood, and Margie Gray.
Family and friends may call on Monday, December 20, 2021, between 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM at Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, Galion.
