Roy “Doby” Ream, 86 of Sulphur Springs, OH passed away on Wednesday March 16, 2022 at home. Roy was born December 28, 1935 in Pleasant West Virginia to the late Russell and Nettie (Brewer) Ream. He was married February 4, 1961 to Mary (Kimbler) Ream who survives. Roy is also survived by sons David (Traci Seibert) of Greenwich, Robert (Heather Warren) Ream of New Hampshire, and Phillip (Christina) Ream of Mansfield; grandchildren Nathan (Aubrey Young) Ream of Ontario and Tiffany (Jason) Fields of Columbus; sisters Dorothy Schott of New Washington, Mary Shifley of Galion, Gladdie McCarthy and Connie Fellows of Willard, as well as numerous nieces and nephews
Roy was preceded in death by daughter Karen “Kerri” Ream, an infant sister, brothers James John, and Bill, and one sister Ann Outhwaite.
Roy was retired from Swan Rubber after working 40 years. He graduated from Sulphur Springs H.S. in 1954 and served in the U.S. Army. Roy enjoyed modern technology, reading, gardening, and taking care of the area cats.
A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday March 22, 2022 at 2:00 pm in the chapel at Crawford County Memory Gardens, Crestline with Pastor Richard Ginzman officiating. The Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
