Rosemary McDaniel never met a stranger and was loved by all who knew her. She treated her students on the school bus as her very own children. Rosemary McDaniel, 59, of Galion passed away Friday, April 30, 2021, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus after a recent illness.
She was born July 30, 1961, in Galion and was the daughter of Herbert and Eileen (Sherer) Mountz. Rosemary is survived by her husband of 24 years, Tim McDaniel whom she married on February 27, 1997.
She graduated from Colonel Crawford High School in 1979. Rosemary was a member of the First United Church of Christ in Galion. She had been a school bus driver for the Lexington Local School district for over 20 years. Rosemary enjoyed the beach and always looked forward to the camping season to begin. She absolutely cared for everybody but especially cherished spending time and attending sporting events for her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her mother, Eileen Mountz of Galion; children, Tim (Denise) McDaniel, Jr., Steven (Ashleigh) McDaniel, Brian (Amanda) McDaniel, Samantha McDaniel, Justin McDaniel, and Nick McDaniel; numerous grandchildren; sister, Robin (Robert) Zier and nieces, Megan Rose Zier, Chrissy Hinkle and Susan McDaniel.
She was preceded in death by her father, Herbert Mountz.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
