Rosemary Irene Reed, 79, of Galion, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on October 1, 1945, to the late parents of Charles “Dan” and Alberta “Bert” (Noe) Busler.

Rosemary found great joy in being a part of the Red Hat Society and celebrating her favorite holidays of Halloween and Christmas with exuberance and creativity. She had a talent for crafting beautiful ceramic dolls and was a dedicated shopper, known for her stamina in making it an all-day affair. She took great pride in her fudge and baking, always striving for perfection, earning her the endearing nickname “Grandma Sugar” from her adoring great-grandchildren, who she affectionately referred to as her “sugar babies.” Rosemary’s enjoyment of watching her grandchildren’s events and her love for camping at Sunset Springs in Oceola highlighted her zest for life.

Rosemary is survived by her daughters; Lisa Miller, of Galion, Lori Reed, of Galion, her sister; Barbara Petrik, of Galion, brother; Ronald (Judy) Busler, of Galion, grandchildren; Chad (Jill) Clinger, Tiffany Miller, Cody St. Myer, C.J. Gettys, Logan Reed, and 14 great-grandchildren.

Along with Rosemary’s parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Thomas “Tom” Reed on January 8, 1999, significant other of twenty-two years Phillip “Phil” McKinstry on July 9, 2022, and son-in-law; Allen Miller

Friends may call on Monday, October 21, 2024, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Mark A. Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, 303 Portland Way North, Galion. Funeral Services will be held at Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at 11:00 am with Pastor Joe Stafford officiating. Burial will take place immediately following at Iberia Cemetery.
