Rosalind Rittenour, 92, former Galion resident passed away Friday, June 14, 2019 at The Inn At Orchard Park in Bucyrus where she had been a resident for the past two and a half years.

She was born July 3, 1926 in Upper Sandusky and was the daughter of Robert S. and Laura C. (Roth) Kuenzli. On October 10, 1948 she married Bill E. Rittenour and they enjoyed nearly 36 years of marriage until his passing on May 20, 1984.

Rosalind graduated from Galion High School and later went on to receive her Bachelor’s degree in Education from Ashland College. She worked as a secretary for the former Galion Hercules and as an art teacher for Colonel Crawford Schools for 19 years.

She was currently a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Delaware and was a former member of Peace Lutheran Church in Galion. In her retirement, she enjoyed traveling and selling arts and crafts with her twin sister and camping with her grandchildren. Rosalind also loved animals.

She is survived by son Bob (Vicki) Rittenour of Galion; daughter Janet (Gary) Kibler of Delaware; four grandchildren, Craig (Katie) Kibler of Westerville, Michelle (Dan) Cooper of Delaware, Ken (Courtney) Rittenour of Marion and Steven (Jill) Rittenour of Bucyrus and 11 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a twin sister, Rosemary Roderick and a brother, Robert F. Kuenzli.

Following her wishes, there will be a private service for the family.
