Rosalee C. “Rosie” O’Leary, 87, of Galion passed away Thursday, November 22, 2018 at Signature HealthCARE of Galion.
She was born May 17, 1931 in Waterford, Ohio and was the daughter of Hugh and Mabel (Winan) Rogers. On May 31, 1952 she married Arthur M. O’Leary and they enjoyed 33 years of marriage until his passing in October 1985.
Rosie was a 1949 graduate of Lexington High School and continued her schooling at the former Mansfield General School of Nursing. She was devoted to her family and dedicated to her job as a nurse, working for the Galion Hospital for over 40 years as a registered nurse.
She is survived by her children, Dr. Arthur H. (Lee Ann) O’Leary of Mansfield, Susan A. (Pete) Kemp of Ogden, Utah, Thomas M. (Lonnie) O’Leary of Galion and Elizabeth A. (Robert) Edwards of Nashville, Tennessee; 13 grandchildren Arthur O’Leary, Katherine Brennan, Dr. Jared O’Leary, Charles O’Leary, Karen Grimes, Marc Kemp, Timothy O’Leary, Jacob O’Leary, Michael O’Leary, Nathan O’Leary, Makai Edwards, Keone Edwards and Veronica Edwards; 14 great-grandchildren and a sister Patricia of California.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two sisters Connie Neal and Jone Poe.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
