Ronald G. Utz, 58, of Galion (and former Geauga and Ashtabula County native) passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 11, 2020.
He was born January 21, 1962 in Chardon, Ohio and was the son of Frederic and Doris (Brebeck) Utz. Ron is survived by his wife of 28 years, Tammy (Troyan) Utz whom he married on March 22, 1992.
Ron graduated from Cardinal High School in Middlefield, Ohio in 1981 and was currently a Terminal Manager with All-Pro Transport of Ashtabula.
He was a proud father and loving husband. Ron received the nickname “Squeeze” many years ago. He liked old muscle cars, especially Corvettes. He enjoyed the outdoors, working around the house and spending time with family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter Brittany Utz of Richmond, Virginia; son Adam Utz of Galion; mother, Doris Wiebusch of Orwell, Ohio; brother David Utz of Orwell, Ohio; two sisters-in-law Pat and Vinnie Utz; two step-sisters Corrine (Mike) Suver of Columbus and Sarah (Jerry) Todd of Lancaster; a niece; several nephews and other extended family.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Greg and Kenny Utz.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
