Ronald ”Dean” Cobern, 80, of Galion passed away Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Signature HealthCARE of Galion.
Born May 12, 1940 in Coolridge, West Virginia, he was the son of Robert and Demi (Lilly) Cobern. He married JoAnn (Price) Cobern on November 9, 1973 and she survives.
He was a graduate of Lexington High School in 1958 and began working in 1967 for the Galion City Electric Line department where he retired as Superintendent. Dean enjoyed golfing, woodworking, riding motorcycles, camping and especially spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by children Teri (Jack) Hoppes of Coopersburg, Pennsylvania, Tami (Jeff) McKinley of Delaware, Ohio, Carrie (Larry) Atkinson of Ontario, Ohio and Doug (Mindy) Sinclair of Galion; grandchildren Gregory Atkinson, Allie Atkinson, Kaylee Sinclair, Kasidee Sinclair and Ryan McKinley; brothers Leroy Cobern of North Woodbury and Neil Cobern of Marysville and sister Dodi Isbell of Henderson, Tennessee.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brother Willard Cobern.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
