Rodney Phillip Millington, 66 of Bucyrus passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at home. Rodney was born a twin to Francis James and Starling Muriel (Shaw) Millington. He was born and raised in Richwood, OH, and graduated from North Union High School. Following High School Rod enlisted in the U.S. Army in Nov. 1972, serving until Nov. 1976 with 3 years stationed in Germany. He continued his service to this country as a reservist in Marion, OH for 2 years. Rodney was the Crawford County Commander for American Legion Post 181 and Sergeant of Arms for 5 years, serving the Fifth District.
Rodney relocated to Bucyrus about 25 years ago and met his love, Loretta Sue Adams, in 1996. In addition to Sue, Rod is survived by 2 brothers Richard of Bucyrus and John of Florida; 2 sisters Joanne Fields of Richwood and Mary Ester Knapp of Marysville, OH; 3 grandchildren Warren Joel, Brayden Michael, and Dakota Kaylynn of Greencamp, OH as well as a daughter in law Debra Underwood. He was preceded in death by brothers Robert, James, Ron, William, and twin Roger; sister Loretta Saxton; and his only son Kalieb Joel.
