Robert Lofton “Bob” Burk, 90, of Galion and formerly of Marengo and Westerville passed away Sunday, October 3, 2021, at home.
He was born December 14, 1930, in Columbus, Ohio, and was the son of Howard L and Marguerite L. (Weatherby) Burk. Bob is survived by his wife of 44 years, Janet E. “Jan” (Schultz) Burk, whom he married on August 19, 1977.
He was a loving husband and father who wore many hats during his long life and was a leader in every sense of the word. Bob was truly the best of the best and will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, son Keith Burk, daughter, Stasha (Matt) Brigner all of Columbus, Ohio and son, Christopher (Hope) Burk of Galion; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Jane Burk Fuller of Columbus and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 8, 2021, at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where a graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Iberia Cemetery with Rev. Joe Stafford officiating.
