Robert “Lee” Walters, 58, of Galion passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at the Ohio State Medical Center, Columbus.
He was born April 3, 1960 in Macon, Georgia and was the son of the late Allen Walters and Vicey Fairbie Williamson. Lee is survived by his wife of 35 years, Carol (Stover) Walters whom he married on June 11, 1983.
Lee worked as a certified mechanic for U-Haul in Dearborn, Michigan and lastly drove a transportation van for Conrail Railroad. He liked building race cars and was a NASCAR enthusiast. Lee loved spending time with his grandchildren and enjoyed fishing, camping and the outdoors.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by son Steven Eusey of Mansfield; three grandchildren Destiny Dawn Marie Eusey, Stephanie Danyell Eusey and John Michael Lee Eusey; sisters Barbara Adkins of Columbus and Patricia Spears of Mt. Sterling; brothers John Wayne (Amy) Walters of Galion, Bill (Mary) Walters of Galion and Mark Walters of Buckeye Lake and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 14, 2019 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833.
