Robert L. Mason, 79, of Galion passed away Monday, November 27, 2023 at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital.
Born September 11, 1944 in Galion, he was the son of Ralph Mason and Martha E. (Berger) Mason Tracht.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Robert drove semi-tractor trailer for 41 years accumulating over five million miles, prior to that he farmed in Edison.
He is survived by a son, Chris Mason of Fredericktown; daughter, Jessica Mason of Mansfield; grandson, Brayden Mason and a half-sister, Joan Toot.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Mason and a half-sister, Sandy Butterfield.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 with Rev. Joe Stafford officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in care of the funeral home.
