Robert E. “Bobby” Meister, 72 of Bucyrus passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2021, at home. Bob was born September 19, 1949, in Bucyrus to the late Robert O. and Mary (Caris) Meister. He was married April 29, 1979, to Penelope Sue (Deppen) Meister who preceded him in death on January 26, 2005. In addition to his wife and parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his brother-in-law Roger “Butch” Rettig as well as aunts and uncles.
Bob is survived by sisters Bettie (Gene) Luidhardt of Bucyrus and Mary Ann Rettig of Palmetto, FL; niece Beth (Jamie) Leyda and their children Paige and Curtis; aunt Virginia Meister; cousins Tim (Nancy) Meister and Marlene (Chuck) Siefert and their families; stepchildren Steve Deppen and Ann Barni and their children and grandchildren.
Bob graduated from Wynford H.S. in 1967 and retired from the Timken Company in 2004. Following retirement, Bob was an associate with Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home. Bobby was a member of Good Hope Lutheran Church and enjoyed Dartball, golfing, the Cleveland Indians and Browns, and visiting his sister in Florida.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 1:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Vicar Tanyce Addison officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:30 am Friday until the time of the service.
