Robert W. Chambers, 68, of Crestline, died Friday, June 1, 2018 at Galion Community Hospital, Galion, after a sudden illness.
Robert was born in Linworth, on February 9, 1950 to the late George and Mignon I. Chambers. He married Pamela J. (Frazee) Chambers on August 14, 1983 and she preceded him in death on September 29, 1997.
Robert earned a living by driving semi-trucks. He served his country in the U.S. Navy. Robert worked with the Boy Scouts of American Office in Mansfield, was a member of the Boy Scouts for eight years, Cubmaster, Pack #325, Crestline, Director of the Cub Scout Day Camp and Director of Safety Town, Crestline. Robert enjoyed collecting coins and working with leather. He also loved to fish.
He is survived by his four children; Pamela and Michael Tuttle, Shelby, Clayton and Kristina Brooks, New Washington, Victoria and Andrew Philbrick, Columbus, Roger and Kristi Chambers, Galion, ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, his sisters, Michele Chambers, TN, Debra Spate, CA, and his brother, John and Donna Chambers, PA.
In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by his brother, George Chambers.
A memorial service will be announced by the family at a later date.
