Ricky James Solze, 66 of Bucyrus passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2021, at Heartland of Bucyrus. Ricky was born in Bucyrus on July 18, 1954, to the late Frederick J. “Jim” Solze Jr. and Leora Marie (Goodman) Solze. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister Dawn.
Ricky is survived by siblings Gary (Carleen) Solze of Bucyrus, Frederick J. (Jean) Solze III of Crestline, Roxanne Sherman of Bucyrus, and Brenda (Horia) Hariton of Bucyrus; as well as many nieces and nephews, great and great-great-nieces, and nephews.
Ricky had worked at the former Brown Derby, the Bucyrus Telegraph Forum, and last at Waycraft Industries. He graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1973 and was a lifelong resident. Ricky enjoyed going out to eat, especially at Granny’s Kitchen and watching his movie collection.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at 1:30 pm in Crawford Memory Gardens with Bishop Ted Thomas officiating. The family suggests any memorials be made through the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home.
