Richard E. White, 69, of Galion passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, February 9, 2021.
He was born July 19, 1951, in Ashland and was the son of the late John William and Ethel B. (Collette) White. Richard is also preceded in death by a brother, John S. White.
He graduated from Crestline High School and served his country in the United States Navy. Richard worked for over 20 years for the United States Post Office as a Postmaster in Mansfield and Crestline. Following his retirement, he worked for Fed-Ex for the past three years.
He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge in Ashland. Richard loved cars, boats, fishing, and fixing up houses.
Richard is survived by his companion of 36 years, Dora Cain; step-children, Lisa Ward of Loudonville, Doris (Dominic) Streibel of Mt. Gilead, Brian Cain of North Carolina, and Cameron Streibel at home; nine step-grandchildren, Anthony, Kristena, Michelle, Danielle, Chelsea, Ashley, Desiree, Alexis, and Jasmine; several step-great-grandchildren; sister Nancy (Paul) Heimlich of Galion; brother Robert White of Shackelsford, Virginia; three nieces, Joanne, Julie and Tara; two nephews, Skip and Rob and great-nieces and nephews, J.D., Jonathon, Jaymie, Karyn, Kristine, Cara, and Joseph.
There will be a private graveside service for the family and a public celebration of life at a later date.
