Raymond E. Trash (Bud) passed away September 30, 2024 at the Crestline Rehabilitation & Nursing Home at the age of 93. Born to Isabella and Chester (Happy) Trash on January 18, 1931 in Crestline, Ohio. He grew up on a small farm at the edge of Leesville, Ohio. Bud graduated in 1948 from Leesville School. Bud married Wanda Volk on May 5, 1951 and they spent 73 years together in the home that Bud built.

Bud was employed as a teenager at Concrete Products in Crestline and worked there until 1965 when he went to work for Builder’s Equipment Company in Glendale, Arizona. Working from home, Bud traveled around the world installing and servicing automated concrete block plants. This work took Bud (and occasionally the whole family) across the United States and many foreign companies including England, Scotland, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Mexico, Kuwait, South Africa, Japan, and Russia. Bud retired in 1999. Bud loved traveling and enjoyed driving their motorhome across the country coast to coast and even in Mexico. Bud enjoyed motorhome rallies and conventions with Family Motorcoach. Early years included a lot of camping and western square dancing. Bud was a meat and potatoes man, nothing fancy.

Bud was a member of the Air National Guard 164th Squadron in Mansfield, Ohio from 1950 to 1957. Bud was a member of the Woodlawn Global Methodist Church in Bucyrus, Ohio.

Surviving Bud are his wife, Wanda, sons Gary Trash (Cindy), Larry Trase (Theresa), daughter Carol Vernooy (Deceased). Grandchildren Trent Trase, Katie (Kronberg), and Kristina (Craig). Step Grandson Craig Smith, wife Erica and four step great grandchildren.

Bud was preceded in death by his sister ShelbyJean Gazia.
