Ralph Herbert Green, 93, of Galion passed away Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Altercare of Bucyrus.
He was born January 20, 1929 in East St. Louis, Illinois and was the son of Darrell and Christina (Fortner) Green. Ralph married Doris Louise (Harper) Green on April 16, 1948 and they enjoyed 59 years of marriage until her passing on May 31, 2007.
Ralph worked in the Communication Department for the New York Central/Penn Central and retired from Conrail in 1989 after 38 years of service in the Railroad Industry. He enjoyed fishing, traveling and will be remembered for his story-telling.
He is survived by daughters, Pheba A. (Randy) Cass of Galion and Phyllis J. (Larry) Windbigler of Sharpsburg, Kentucky; son, Kenneth L. (Nancy) Green of Galion; four grandchildren, Jared Cass, Kandra Kegley, Scott Windbigler and Brett Green; six great-grandchildren, Haley Martinez, Taylor Kegley, Graesin Cass, Lusey Cass, Evelyn Green and Henry Green and a half-sister, Vera Lowery.
In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by a brother, Melbourne Green.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 26, 2022 in Iberia Cemetery with Rev. Joe Stafford officiating.
