Paula C. Spitzer lived her life by Colossians 3:12 “Holy and dearly loved, clothe yourself with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.” Paula went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, October 9, 2017 at the age of 85.
Born June 4, 1932 in Mansfield she was the daughter of Paul Clever and Catherine Elizabeth (Dill) Clever Dailey. She married James R. Spitzer I on July 23, 1950 and they enjoyed 35 loving years together until his passing on August 28, 1985.
She was a graduate of Mansfield Senior High School in 1950 and worked at the former North Electric Company for 21 years, managed Classic Family Video for six years and provided housecleaning and homecare for many. Paula attended the First Church of Christ Scientist in Mansfield and was very spiritual, easily quoting Bible verses. She was extraordinarily kind and loved her family and friends dearly.
She is survived by children Bill (Barbara) Spitzer of Mt. Vernon, Cathi (Tom) Moore of Great Neck, New York, Paula Ann Spitzer of Galion, James R. II (Shelley) Spitzer of Bradenton, Florida and Carl (Lynn) Spitzer of Howard; grandchildren Michele Fish, Michael Spitzer, Jennifer Grove, Joshua Spitzer, Tyler Moore, Jaime Moore, Jamie Spitzer, Beth Frey, Alexis Shaw and Austin Spitzer; 14 great grandchildren; sister Judy (Doug) Brunk of Mansfield and brother Charlie (Ramona) Mabry of Lodi.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by son John Spitzer; sister Doris Schwier and brothers John Stanley Clever and David Clever.
There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
