Patricia Anne Bennett, age 93, passed away April 28, 2021, at Carlisle Place where she was treated like family. Patricia was born to the late Leroy Claire and Ada J “Frier” Rumery in Mansfield Ohio March 13, 1928. Patricia is preceded in death by their parents, husband Richard John Bennett, and daughters, Marsha Anne Smith and Kay Elizabeth Bennett; grandson, Johnny Puckett, and several brothers and sisters.
Patricia is survived by sons, Richard John (Nancy) McCracken-Bennett of Johnstown, OH and Stephen Leroy (Debbie) Bennett of Omaha; brother, Paul (Shari) Rumery of Zanesville, OH; sister, Janice Farris of Mt. Gilead, OH; grandchildren, Anne J, Gavin, and Ashley; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and 8 great-grandchildren.
Patricia was a graduate of Holmes Liberty High School. She had worked many jobs, her most recent being with the Board of Elections. She was an avid reader for most of her life and a member of the Catholic Ladies of Columbia. She was also a devoted member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Bucyrus.
The family will receive friends from 10 AM-11 AM at Holy Trinity Monday, May 3. There will be a mass following visitation at 11 AM. Burial to follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
