Pamela Sitz, age 69, of Waynesville, NC and formerly of Galion passed away Sunday March 17, 2024 at Haywood Regional Medical Center in Clyde, NC.
Born December 23, 1954 in Galion, she was the daughter of Richard and Florence (Murphy) Warner.
Pam graduated from Northmor High School where she was a member of National Honor Society and played volleyball, sang in the choir and performed in musicals. She worked for over 40 years at Lockheed Martin as a mechanical engineer. She was certified Six Sigma Blackbelt and was a manager and mentor to many. She was a member of The Lovely League of Ladies and Friends of the Smokies. Pam loved to cook and bake, especially for her family whose friends called her Mama Sitz. She was known as the cake lady at work for bringing cakes for all occasions. She loved to host events, including Christmas Eve and birthdays as well as hosting college baseball players over the summer for the Florida Collegiate Summer League. She was very involved in her children’s activities and helped by serving as a Girl Scout Leader, Cheer Team Mom and Little League Scorekeeper. Her hobbies included: gardening, bird-watching, playing board games and cards, reading, decorating, watching Hallmark movies, spending time with family and friends and particularly spoiling her grandkids.
She is survived by her children: Bill (Andrea) Sitz, Heather (Joe) Little and Rob (Emily) Sitz, her grandchildren: Lily, Cole Ayden, Preston, Peyton, Breanna, Connor, Caitlynn, Reid and Graham, and her three brothers: Lyle, Steve and Terry.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William “Bill” Sitz and her sister Joy Hall.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 – 11:00 AM Saturday April 6, 2024 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Iberia Cemetery
