Milton F. Thompson, Jr., 75, of Galion passed away Thursday, April 15, 2021, at Signature HealthCARE in Galion.
He was born November 19, 1945, in Parsons, Kansas, and was the son of Milton F. and Helen (King) Thompson, Sr.
Milton proudly served his country in the United States Navy and worked for many years as a Licensed Insurance Agent with New York Life. He was a member of the AMVETS in Mansfield and was an avid NASCAR and sports fan.
Milton is survived by a son, Doug Thompson and fiancée Cori Bauer of Galion; daughter, Debby McDaniel and husband John of Middleburg, Florida; eight grandchildren, Brei Butler, Kylie Thompson, Mandy and Nick Schrader, Trea McDaniel, Chandler, Cole, and Kyle Bauer and five great-grandchildren, Wesley & Lainie Schrader, Johnnie McDaniel, Peyton Lyons and Aurora Butler.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Taylor McDaniel, and a sister, Karen.
A graveside service will be held at 12 noon on Monday, April 26, 2021, in Iberia Cemetery with Rev. Joe Stafford officiating.
Full military honors will be conducted by the United States Navy and the Galion Crestline Veterans Military Funeral Detail.
