Mildred Irene Gibson, 82 of Chatfield passed away on January 5, 2021 at home following an extended illness. Mildred was born March 25, 1938, in Pikeville, KY to the late William B. and Rushia (Simpson) Gibson. She was also preceded in death by children Rick Lockhart, Paul Joseph Gibson, Delena Gibson, and Alice Moore; grandchildren Melissa Honaker and David Swafford; brothers Joseph Gibson, Paul Gibson, Estel Gibson; and sister Geneva Gibson.
Mildred is survived by her husband Joe Stanley; children Thurman Lockhart, Helen (Terry) Marcum, and Barb Lawrence, Erin (Nathan) Odom, Brandon Odom, and Emily (Michael) Odom; grandchildren Anthony and Stephanie Lockhart, Sean Honaker, Tiffany Swafford, Andrea, and Samantha Lockhart, and Katy and Josh Lawrence; 13 great-great-grandchildren; niece Gwen Wheeler and husband Rick along with many other nieces and nephews.
Mildred was a homemaker and enjoyed Bingo, fishing, and cooking. Most of all she loved spending time and playing with her grandkids.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 1:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Hager officiating, burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery, Sycamore.
