Melvin Lee Morgan, age 63, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at his home in Bucyrus, Ohio.

Melvin was born on May 2, 1961, in Galion, Ohio, to Ivan Eugene and Linda Lou (Thomas) Morgan. Melvin was married to the love of his life Becky Meade on February 21, 2015, at the Gebhardt Baptist Church in Marion, and she survives in Bucyrus.

Melvin is also survived by his children, Rebecca (Bryan) Deaton, Savannah (Louis) Garcia, and Matthew Casperson, all of Bucyrus, 4 granddaughters, Georgia, Glorianna, Rowena, and Luna, 2 brothers, Wayne Morgan of Bucyrus, Mark Morgan of Kenton, and his sister Tresa VanBuskirk of Bucyrus.

Melvin was preceded in death by his parents, brother Kevin Morgan, and sister Kay Nickler.

Melvin worked for Pugh Shows starting at the age of 15 and worked there for over 30 years. Melvin also DJ’d for many years at weddings, dances, and many other events, and he enjoyed tinkering with cars.

Melvin loved music, and enjoyed traveling with his wife, going to concerts and music festivals. He enjoyed woodworking, going to Amish Country, and he loved carousel’s. Most importantly, Melvin loved his family, and spending time with them. He helped everyone with everything.

A graveside service for Melvin will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, September 20, 2024, at Oakwood Cemetery in Bucyrus, Ohio, and will be officiated by Rev. Harry Meade.
