Marvin L. Heinlen age 83 of Nevada, passed on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, in Wyandot Memorial Hospital.  He was born on December 14, 1937, in Nevada to Cecil M. and Evelyn M. (Keltner) Heinlen.  Marvin married Carolyn J. Kotterman on June 22, 1957, in Emanuel United Church of Christ and she preceded him in death on November 7, 2015.

Surviving are two sons Frank L. (Jodi Perkins) Heinlen, Steve A. (Julie) Heinlen both of Nevada, four grandchildren Megan (Ryan) Miller, Sycamore, Rachel (Cory) Welch, Bucyrus, Brad (Cara) Heinlen, Radnor, Nate (Amber) Heinlen, Nevada, seven great-grandchildren Hayleigh Welch, Blaine Welch, Kaison Miller, Abby Heinlen, Anthony Heinlen, Aiden Heinlen, Harper Heinlen, sister Joyce Daiber, Nevada, brother in law Paul Kotterman, Upper Sandusky, nieces Deb Kellogg, Amy Kotterman, nephews Chuck Daiber, Jerry Daiber, and Andy Kotterman.  He was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law Richard Daiber and sister-in-law Sandy Kotterman.

Marvin along with his wife Carolyn, retired as owner/operator of Carmar Gardens which started in 1969.  The family business continues today as a greenhouse and landscaping enterprise.  He was a member of Emanuel United Church of Christ.    Marvin graduated from Nevada High School class of 1955.  He served in the Army National Guard and was a member of the Elks Lodge BPOE #83 and Moose Lodge #1093, he was a Nevada volunteer fireman for over 30 years. For hobbies, he enjoyed bowling in the Elks league, fishing, golfing, and spending time at the lake cottage.

A memorial service for Marvin L. Heinlen will be held at Emanuel United Church of Christ on Aug. 14, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Jay Scott officiating. Following the service, the family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. after the service in the Alban Room of the church.
