Marlene M. Hotelling age 70 of Upper Sandusky, passed away at Wyandot County Skilled Nursing & Rehab on July 6, 2023. She was born on May 10, 1953 in Upper Sandusky to the late Robert and Maxine (Carr) Lowry. Marlene married Basil Hotelling on March 23, 1973 and have been married for 50 years.
She is survived by a daughter Stephanie (Andrew) Krell, South Carolina, and a son Kevin Hotelling, Georgia, grandchildren Alex Krell, and Nicholas Krell, and cousins Janice Newell, Bucyrus, Harold Swinehart, Upper Sandusky, Carol Stagger, Arizona.
Marlene was a 1972 Upper Sandusky High School graduate were she was on the bowling team. She was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Church of Upper Sandusky. Marlene worked as a housekeeper at Fairhaven for 26 years and worked at the Village restaurant in high school where she met her husband. She enjoyed making flower arrangements and decorating her home. She was a clean freak and enjoyed watching The Big Bang Theory, playing games on her tablet, word searches and keeping her mind busy.
A graveside service will be held Thursday July 13, 2023 at 1pm at Old Mission Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Marlene M.
