Marie A. Adams, age 92, formerly of Nevada, Ohio, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2024 at 12:50pm at Vancrest of Upper Sandusky.
Marie was born on April 26, 1931 in Lewis County, Kentucky to Benjamin and Ruth (Clark) Adams. She married William R. “Rick” Adams on October 27, 1949, and he passed away on November 12, 2021.
She is survived by a son William C. (Edna) Adams of Bucyrus, and 4 grandchildren, Michael (Brenda) Adams, Tammie (Carrie Waltzman) Adams, Brenda (Jerry) Presley, and Peggy Rule. Along with 5 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild, and a brother Bert Adams of Upper Sandusky.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter Carol, and 5 brothers, Ithiel, Willard, John, Earl, and Wilbur Adams, and 3 sisters, Winifred Edgington, Wanda Blakeslee, and Ruth Groves.
Marie was a 1950 graduate of Nevada High School, and a member of the former Nevada Methodist Church.
She enjoyed spending time at the Wyandot County Senior Citizens, and for hobbies she enjoyed fishing, gardening, sewing and embroidery, baking deserts, especially fruit cobblers.
Marie will be remembered for her caring spirit for others, having taken care of many family members, and her mother’s love for her children, especially Carol, of whom she never seemed to leave her side being always together.
Services for Marie Adams will be announced at a later date.
