Maria I. Rodriguez age 90 of Upper Sandusky died Saturday February 15, 2020 at her daughter’s home in Texas. She was born January 21, 1930 to the late Guadalupe and Felicitas (Capuchino) Coronado. She married the Vicente Torres Rodriguez on July 28, 1948 in San Marcos, TX. He preceded her in death on February 23, 2019.
She is survived by her children Vicente (Norma Jean) Rodriguez Jr. of Upper Sandusky, Irene (Ralph) Bess of Harpster, Maria Rodriguez of Texas, Beatrice (George) Human of Kirby, Rita (Kyle) Hetzel of Upper Sandusky, and Lisa (Robert) Johnson of Upper Sandusky, 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, 7 step grandchildren, 10 step great grandchildren and 5 step great great grandchildren, siblings Esperanza Pizana of TX, Pete (Sharon) Coronado of Fremont, Jesse Coronado of Defiance, Jane (Oscar) Olivarez of Findlay, Rosa (Fernando) Longoria of Fremont, Nick Coronado, NC, Rachel (Carlos) Tobar of Defiance, Mike (Dora) Coronado, TX. She is preceded in death by son Luis Rodriguez, and a sister Guadalupe Garza.
Mrs. Rodriguez was a member of Transfiguration of The Lord Catholic Parish. She was a homemaker and worked as an LPN at Wyandot Memorial Hospital for 27 years. She enjoyed reading, visiting her family, Texas history, listening to Spanish music, and playing the violin.
